Some women reach a moment where getting dressed stops feeling effortless and starts feeling overwhelming. Michelle was one of them. Her wardrobe was full, yet nothing seemed to work together. She felt unsure about colours, confused about styles, and frustrated by pieces that never quite felt right.

When she reached out to me, she wasn’t looking for a quick fix — she wanted clarity, confidence and a wardrobe that finally reflected the woman she is today. What unfolded through her colour analysis, style session, wardrobe edit and personal shopping experience was nothing short of life‑changing.

In this review, Michelle shares her journey in her own words — from discovering her best colours and body‑flattering shapes to creating a cohesive, neutral wardrobe she loves, and learning how to mix and match outfits with ease. Her transformation is a beautiful reminder that when your wardrobe works, your whole life feels lighter.

The Moment Michelle Knew She Needed Styling Support

“My wardrobe was full, yet I felt like I had nothing to wear.”

Michelle’s journey began long before we stepped into a store together. It started with a feeling many women know well — a full wardrobe that somehow still felt empty.

What was your defining moment where you knew you wanted to have some help with your colours, styles, wardrobe and picking the pieces in store?

My wardrobe was full, yet I constantly felt like I have nothing to wear. I found it overwhelming knowing where to start or how to pull outfits together.

I’d had styling help in the past, but no one had ever taken the time to look at the whole picture first. This experience was completely different and truly life changing. Understanding which colours suit my skin tone, what styles flatter my body shape, and what pieces in my wardrobe actually work (and what don’t) gave me so much clarity and confidence before even stepping into a store.

Creating a Wardrobe That Matches Her Mood Boards

Why Neutrals Became Her Signature

Your mood boards and inspiration to create a wardrobe are based around neutrals. How did you align to this look and what does it mean to you now that you have a wardrobe that is very much like your mood boards.

I’ve always been drawn to neutral tones because they feel timeless, versatile, and calming. When I started creating mood boards, I noticed a consistent pattern of soft, muted colours and simple, cohesive outfits. Over time, I became more intentional about aligning my wardrobe with that aesthetic by choosing pieces that could easily mix and match and wouldn’t go out of style quickly.

Now that my wardrobe reflects those mood boards, it feels much more cohesive and effortless. Getting dressed is easier because everything works well together, and I feel more confident knowing my style is consistent with what I genuinely like. It also feels more mindful—I’m buying less, but choosing better pieces that truly suit me and last longer.

The Wardrobe Edit: From Apprehension to Clarity

“What I thought might be overwhelming became enjoyable.”

How did you feel about going through your entire wardrobe with me? Were you apprehensive about it at the start and how do you feel now about how to wear it all?

I didn’t feel apprehensive at all going through my wardrobe with you—you made me feel really relaxed and at ease from the start. What I thought might be overwhelming actually turned into a really enjoyable and comfortable experience.

As we worked through everything, I felt more confident and clear about my choices. It was helpful to see how pieces could be styled and to understand what really works for me.

Now, I feel much more confident about how to wear everything I own. My wardrobe feels more cohesive and intentional, and getting dressed feels easier and more enjoyable.

How Mix & Match Guides Changed Her Daily Dressing

“It’s taken the guesswork out of getting dressed.”

You love the mix and match guides from your existing wardrobe pieces and new purchases. How has getting dressed for you changed?

I absolutely love the mix and match guides. I’ve printed them off and put them into a plastic sleeve folder so I can easily refer to them when getting dressed.

Before, getting dressed often felt stressful and overwhelming, but now it’s completely changed. Using these guides makes the process so much more enjoyable and even exciting. It’s taken the guesswork out of putting outfits together, and I feel much more confident in what I’m wearing each day.

The Power of Knowing Her Colour Season and Body Shape

Making confident, intentional choices

And knowing your colour season and body shape, has that made it easier for you to know what definitely works and what does not work?

Yes, definitely. Knowing my colour season and body shape has made such a big difference. It’s so much easier now to recognise what truly works for me and what doesn’t.

I feel a lot more confident when choosing outfits or shopping because I have a clear understanding of what suits me. It’s taken away a lot of the guesswork and second-guessing, and I’m much more intentional with my choices.

Overall, it’s made everything feel simpler, more consistent, and much more aligned with my personal style.

Packing for Her Cruise: A Wardrobe That Worked for Every Day

“I packed less but had the perfect outfit for each day."

You recently went on a cruise holiday, we considered your packing list together to make sure it all worked and we filled some gaps. How did you feel during the trip with getting dressed?

It felt so good knowing exactly what would work for the climate and the activities I had planned before I even started packing. That preparation made such a difference.

I was able to pack less, but still have the perfect outfit for each day of the trip. Getting dressed was easy and stress-free, and I felt confident that everything I brought would work well together.

Overall, it made the whole experience much more enjoyable and effortless.

The Personal Shopping Experience

“This was completely different to anything I’d done before.”

How would you describe the personal shopping experience we had together to someone who might be thinking about doing it?

When I first went into it, I thought I knew what to expect because I’d had a personal shopping experience in the past—but this was completely different.

From the start, Angela got straight into it and selected pieces really quickly. Before I knew it, I was in the change room with a full range of outfits to try on. The whole process felt so efficient and seamless, and it just worked.

What I loved most was that everything wasn’t just individual pieces—we created complete outfits that could be mixed and matched in so many ways. It all tied in perfectly with what I already had in my wardrobe at home.

I walked away with multiple outfits that all worked together, which made the whole experience feel incredibly worthwhile and practical.

How Michelle Feels Now: A Wardrobe That Finally Works

“From confusion and chaos to something so organised, cohesive and beautiful.”

How would you describe the way you felt before and after we started working together, when you think about your wardrobe now.

I absolutely love what we’ve created together. It’s been such a transformation—from confusion and chaos to something so organised, cohesive, and beautiful.

It’s also saved me so much money. I’m no longer making wasteful purchases or ending up with pieces I don’t know how to wear. There’s no more disappointment and no more clothes just sitting there unused.

“I’m buying less, choosing better, and everything in my wardrobe finally works.”

Everything now works together—from the clothes to the shoes to the jewellery and everything in between. I feel confident and clear about my style.
