I love my lips looking perfect, I rarely leave the house with bare lips so I have created a passionate list of my tips! Enjoy xxx
- Use a Lip moisterizer with sunblock to protect your lips. Your lips are exposed to the elements all the time. I use the Arbonne BeforeSun Lip moisterizer with Sunblock as it calms my lips and is free of any harmful ingredients that you normally find in regular brands.
- Outline your lips with a lip pencil. There are so many benefits of doing this. You will prevent your lipstick from running into the fine lines above and below your lip. When you use your lipliner to fill in your lips before applying lipstick you will also be able to create different shades of lipstick depending of what lipliner you use. You can create more pink, less pink, darker, natural all with one lip pencil. These are the shades I have in my make up bag so I can mix and match depending on my mood and outfit. I love using Pink Mauve by Arbonne, combined with Vintage Rose, Mauve, Rose Petal all by Arbonne
- Apply your lipstick with a lip brush. When you apply leave your lips in their natural state without stretching them so you follow the natural line of your lips
- Select the right shade of lipstick can be trial and error and in stores it always hard to judge. That is why I do one-on-one make up lessons so we can try a variety of shades based on your skin tone and taste. If you are keen, here is more info
- Use a tissue to blot excess product of your lips. Try and not to “bite” the tissue as this will make your lipstick wear off unevenly.
- Apply lipgloss to add a bit of glamour at night or to create a casual beachy look. On my days off or for the school run I often just apply lipliner and my pick of gloss. Often a lipgloss looks more intense but once applied on your lips it is perfect. The Raisin shade from Arbonne is a great example, a few dots of this shade over Vintage Rose adds just a little intensity to my lips without being too dark. The coral shade cuts the pink in Vintage Rose a little if my outfit needs this.
- Always, always, always do the lip swipe in 3 different positions to prevent lipstick or gloss to come on your teeth. Simply put your finger in your mouth, close your lips and pull it out. Do this on the left, middle and right so you cover all bases. All the excess shade on your finger will no longer end up on your teeth!
- Long lasting lipsticks and lip glosses that a like a sticky layer of glass on your lips can severely dry your lips out.
- Be mindful of buying a “bargain” lipstick as they are very likely filled with nasty chemicals that are harmful for your body. That is why I love Arbonne as they don’t have any harmful ingredients in their products and they don’t test on animals. Great if your are a Vegan
- Lastly and most importantly, SMILE! You will add a bit of sunlight to your day by being happy! If you would like to try any of these shades or products by Arbonne please message me or ring 0407 032 531
