Simona has been one of Australia's leading and most respected designer labels since being founded by Inge and George Fonagy in Sydney in 1963.
During the 1970’s, Inge’s children Deanne and John Recek joined the company followed shortly thereafter by John’s wife Geraldine. The family tradition continued to evolve when Geraldine and John’s daughters Jackie and Kelly joined Simona in 2004 and 2008 respectively.
