For me reading a Magazine like Harper's Bazaar, Madison or InStyle is one of the MOST enjoyable moments for me. I look at face shapes, body shapes, colours, hair, makeup and what is happening on the catwalks all over the world and a zillion of nice gift ideas. Not that I am necessarily a Designer Label girl, but I do get inspired and for me the Magazines become a hugely creative outlet. I fold corners, rip pages out, create dream posters… not a single page is unturned or unread
My husband Sal has caught on to my passion and he often gives me a subscription to one of the above Mags for Xmas, birthday, mother's day etc. Not a bad idea Guys out there looking for a unique gift as every month I wait in anticipation for the newest editions to come in letter box and I am grateful yet again for a gift given to me ages ago. Sal calls it the "Gift that Keeps on Giving"…
Last night I had a bliss moment as I was reading the latest Harper's Bazaar and I stumbled upon Nicole Ritchie's Rules of Style. Nicole has come a long way developping her sense of Style and it was great to read that all the things I talk about with my clients, on my website and in my blogs were exactly the same.
Here is what Nicole Ritchie said!
- "Always dress to fit your body. You have to figure out what looks good on you as opposed to just what is in style.
- Always accessorise when wearing jeans and t-shirts. You can wear the same outfit over and over and over, but with different accessories.
- Don't be afraid to wear evening shoes during the day. They add flari to any nine-to-five outfit.
- When you find the perfect pair of jeans buy 10 pairs. It doesn's happen that often.
- Always do what makes you happy when it comes to your style. Don't pay too much attention to what other people say.
- Alway dress for comfort. it is obvious when you don't."
All I can say You Go Girl!! You can be a Style Angel any day!
