Unless you are with me of course (oh how cheeky I am … 😍)
HOW TO PICK THE BEST ACCESSORY
I agree with the unique Iris Apfel, who takes the concept of accessory to a whole new level.

Many times I have have chosen accessories over another outfit. And boy have they returned on my investment and added to the joy in my wardrobe.
I have one pair of earrings that could have their own fan page as they get so many comments. I loose track of the amount of times I have worn those beauties.
All calculated choices yet instant love affairs. So below are the simple steps I took to get to the 10 out of 10’s.
1. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR
Right at the beginning, I asked Elisabeth so many questions which took almost more time than finding the accessory she loved.
Do you need to lift some of your outfits? Does it need to match a colour, print, bag? What do you already have you can re-use and what needs replacing?
2. SIZE MATTERS
Yes, size definitely matters! The best matches will suit your face shape, body shape, length of your neck, size of your ear lobes and width of your wrists.
Many statement pieces have big studs to start off with and that does not always suit every ear or taste. I personally prefer hooks in my ear. Check the image below for “lobe” choices.
Your proportions need to be matched so it all makes sense. Usually the accessory lives in a high traffic area for eye contact and communication.
Remember the Vital V area I have spoken about before in previous emails? Here is a quick reminder!
3. MATCH YOUR BEST COLOURS
4. HOW TO SELECT THE TENS!
So when I start looking at each row and “apply the filters”, based on the above answers, to the ranges (which Lovisa thankfully curates by colour) the collection of suitable pieces becomes so small it is manageable to digest.
Of course each accessory has a line and design element that will work for you or against you. I have a really good look at all elements and decide which suits best based on size, colour and design.
Below is an example of earrings that will all look very differently in your ear and neckline.
Same rule applies to necklaces and bangles. Line and design is the make or break of your choice!
Hold the pieces in front of your ear and let the love affair begin. If there is no Love At First Sight then move on before the dust gathers.
